Fences and gates
A fence that stays straight comes down to posts set deep enough in concrete and lined up with a string line. The rest is a matter of style.
For 30 metres of rigid mesh fencing, our price is usually €4,900 to €5,100 excl. VAT, posts set in concrete included.

Rigid panels, wood or a hedge?
Rigid mesh panels are tough and discreet, especially with a hedge alongside. Wood gives instant privacy but needs maintenance. We advise you based on exposure, the neighbours and your budget.
Gates
Swing or sliding gate, motorised or manual, with a pedestrian gate. For a motorised gate, we plan the power supply and the pillar foundations from the start.
Shared boundaries and height
A shared boundary fence is agreed with your neighbour. The height allowed without a permit depends on the region and the location: on the street side or at the back of the garden. We tell you before we install.
What height is allowed without a permit?
The height allowed depends on the Region, the location (street side or between neighbours) and the type of fence. Several municipalities add their own limits.
| Brussels | On the street side, 1 m maximum in the front setback zone. Between neighbours, about 1.50 m on the boundary, up to 3 m further away from it. |
|---|---|
| Wallonia | On the street side, 2 m if it is see-through, 1 m for a wooden close-board fence or gabions. Elsewhere, 2 m if it is not visible from the street. |
| Flanders | Open: 2 m maximum. Solid: 1 m in front of the house, 2 m at the sides and back. |
